Lal Meri

This is a feature I've been meaning to bring you for a few weeks now, and I'm glad I'm able to do it, because Lal Meri's debut album is absolute quality. Producer Carmen Rizzo, formerly of Nettwerk Records duo Povi, has teamed up with vocalist Nancy Kaye (a/k/a Rosey) and Ireesh Lal to create worldbeat-tinged downtempo album that just oozes class throughout. This is great stuff, folks, and it really should be in your music collection…

  1. Love this album too, which I bought back when you first played them in February. The female Indian vocalist on some tracks reminds me of Najma. She’s not exactly electronica, but she’s still really good! Check her out.
