This week, I watched my favorite soccer team, the Carolina Railhawks — yes, they're back from the brink — upset the defending MLS Cup champion Los Angeles Galaxy, 2-1. Question of the week: What's your favorite team, and what's your favorite moment that you experienced as a fan of that team?

My favorite sports team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I am a season ticket holder. My favorite moment as a bucs fan would obviously be back during the 2002 season when they clinched thier first, & only superbowl, & went on to smash the Oakland Raiders 41-27……:)
Dallas Mavericks last years NBC champs.
The best moment was after the victory parade standing with thousands of fans in the plaza in front of the the arena singing a rendition of Queens's We Are The Champions led by our star player Dirk Nowitiski
I hope Dirk sang a little better than Fernando Torres did.
I'm a Colorado native, which seems to confer a cult-like allegiance to the Denver Broncos.
My favorite football moment was during Super Bowl XXXII, when Elway rushed for his only touchdown. He hadn't been playing well, but after that, the game just fell in to place.
My favorite Broncos memory, though, was watching my mom and my grandma watch The Drive when I was a kid. I didn't understand how impressive the 98-yard march down the field during a playoff game really was… But the picture of my mom and grandma jumping around the living room acting like kids is one of those memories from growing up that's going to be there when my life flashes before my eyes.
Hey Dave! Good to see you still blogging in some capacity (I originally followed you from "Daves Football Blog").
My favorite team is the Seattle Sounders.
My favorite moment is a tie:
– Ozzie Alonso's (insurance) goal at the death of stoppage time during the US Open Cup final last year
– Kasey Keller saving a triple goal attempt from San Jose during his final game
Hi Dave.
Well, I worked in Kenmore Square for 11 years, so it's the Red Sox for me. Two favorite moments, both from the 2004 season. When they beat the Yanks to advance to the series, I was literally catatonic; I had to go outside to get some air. I live not far from Bentley College (Waltham), and when I went outside, the roar from the campus could be heard all over town…they must have had the game up on the jumbotron.
Then, on October 27, 2004, I and no doubt millions of other New Englanders, held our infant children up in front of the TV after midnight so they could see the Sox win the world series. (SOX WIN! 10/27/2004….engraved on the back of my iPod.)
Man, just thinking about that still makes me giddy.
Ohio State Buckeyes football. 1998. OSU vs. Michigan. OSU defeats a Tom Brady – led UM team 31-16 at home in my freshman year as a Buckeye. Crowd rushed the field. Unforgettable.
