Laptop disaster

Folks,

My new laptop crashed today. Something went horribly wrong, the system files got corrupted, and I have no idea how to fix it — or whether or not it can even be fixed without wiping out everything on the hard drive already.

So it may be a few more weeks before I can get a new episode of Dave's Lounge out to everyone. Sorry about this, folks. I promise that I'll be back with a new show as soon as I can.

-Dave

No show this week

Sorry, folks. The furntiure's getting rearranged around the house this week, and my audio equipment is scattered everywhere, so I won't be able to do a show this week. I'm trying as hard as I can to keep up with everything right now, and I will try harder to get #61 ready for everyone soon.

Incidentally, I got a note from Cling, the band that led off Dave's Lounge #59, and they inform me that eMusic has been pretty good to them:

See you are an affiliate of eMusic as well, we actually made more by giving our tunes away (so to speak) via eMusic than we would have made if we had sold them normally, the music business has become a little crazy.

So if any of you were wondering whether or not eMusic was a good deal for the artists, too, that should answer your question.
